Shopping for a Cause — Mercer + Green

Sadly there has been a lot of cancer in my family. When I was in high school my mother was diagnosed with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer. She was told to get her life in order, take a trip around the world, and say goodbye. Luckily she did no such thing. Thanks to some amazing and experiential treatments, and a great combination of Eastern and Western medicine my mother is very much alive and healthy today. She really is a miracle.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month I wanted to share some of my favorite finds that support various breast cancer related organizations. Not only are all of these items gorgeous and pink, but they all help support a great cause. No buyer's guilt here! I love shopping with a conscious!

1. Stella and Dot Mercer Zip Wallet

I love this gorgeous wallet's name! It's like it was made for me! All net proceeds will be donated to the Noreen Fraser Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising women's cancer research funds and promoting early detection awareness.

2. Jane Iredale Cherish Lip Fixation

Jane Iredale is one of my favorite green beauty brands. This is a two-in-one lip color that comes in an adorable pouch made from 80% post consumer recycled materials. 100% of profits are donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer which empowers all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life.

3. Vapour Elixir Lip Gloss in Honor

Vapour Organic Beauty makes some of my favorite lip glosses. The colors are great, they last a long time and they aren't too sticky. 100% of the profits go towards breast cancer research.

4. Kyocera Knife and Peeler Set

I have a lot of knives in my kitchen but my Kyocera ceramic knife is the one I use most often. It is super sharp, and always get the job done! For every pink knife sold Kyocera will donate $5 to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.

5. Rebecca Taylor Silk Blouse

Rebecca Taylor is one of my most favorite designers. Her gorgeous silk blouses are incredibly easy to wear. Just throw on skinnies and heels and you are all set! 50% of the proceeds from this top go directly to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
