Attitude of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is just a few days away. With everything that goes on in my day to day life it can be all too easy for me to forget just how good I have it. I often find myself comparing my life to others, wishing I had things that I think I “need” in order to be happy. The truth is I have so, so many blessings in my life. So much to be thankful for. Including:

  1. My health

  2. My amazing, loving, kind husband. The best father I know.

  3. Hermione, who astounds me with her passion and creativity each and every day.

  4. Portia, who makes me laugh, impresses me with her independence, and still lets me snuggle her like a baby.

  5. Doug’s health.

  6. Hermione and Portia’s health.

  7. Jo, our amazing nanny who loves my girls like her own, cares for them wholeheartedly, and helps me juggle our insane schedules.

  8. My home, which always makes me breathe easier and relax my shoulders when I walk in the door.

  9. Hermione’s amazing new school that has taught her so much already.

  10. Portia’s warm, cuddly and supportive preschool.

  11. My mom squad. I honestly don’t know what I would do without them.

  12. My childhood BFF who I see rarely but text multiple times a day.

  13. My neighborhood and community in TriBeCa. When I say I live on Sesame Street I am really not joking.

  14. Decaf Oat Milk Cortados at Jacks.

  15. SoulCycle classes with Laurie Cole

  16. SoulCycle classes with Janet Fitzgerald

  17. My trainer, Melissa Paris who keep me strong and smiling

  18. American Ballet Theatre and how it is instilling a deep, true love and respect for ballet in Hermione.

  19. Matt Gregory, the best piano and voice teacher around who has endless love and patience for Hermione and her antics.

  20. Hardcover novels.

  21. Our upcoming trip to Disneyworld

  22. My beautiful city of New York.

  23. The ability to spend our summers in my beloved Hudson Valley.

  24. Old friends who call, text, or send a card when you least expect it and need it most.

  25. Doug’s wonderful family. They welcome me as one of their own and are liberal with the words “I love you.”

  26. Raising daughters in such a powerful time for women. My girls will never doubt that they can be or do anything.
