My Everyday Necklaces

I used to be a statement jewelry girl. I had a huge collection of costume pieces I would wear all the time, not just on special occasions. While I loved these bold pieces at the time over the years my taste has become much simpler. Since becoming a mama I have traded in large, chunky pieces for much more delicate ones I can wear all the time without a little person scratching their face on them!

The two necklaces I wear everyday almost feel like a part of my skin. I take them off at night and when I exercise but I never leave the house without them. I feel naked when not wearing them.

The first is a nameplate necklace Doug gave me when Portia was born. I had another necklace that was a push present for Hermione's birth but this delicate nameplate with both of my girls names on it (Portia's is on the back) is my absolute favorite piece of jewelry. 

The second is my "mama" necklace, also a gift from Doug. I am proud that this is the name I am most referred to as. I earned my Mama status and wouldn't trade it for the world.
