First Day of School

29 months or so ago I met the most amazing little girl that ever has lived. She came into our world two weeks early on a full moon like the force of nature that she is. She loves ballet, puppets, popcorn, cherry tomatoes, pickles, The Muppets, and riding on the ferry boats in the Hudson river. She will always be my baby no matter how big and grown up she gets. Yesterday Hermione had her first day of preschool. We have been anticipating this day for many, many months and it finally arrived. In typical Hermione fashion she was hesitant to enter the building and her classroom but once she got going ( thanks to some light bribery in the form of popcorn) she didn't want to leave. I stayed in the room with her the whole time as I probably will for the first week or two. I am in no rush to drop her off at the door and want to wait until she is settled and ready. Her teachers could not be more lovely and her classroom could not be more adorable and two year old appropriate. I know this will be a huge year for her and I can't wait to watch her grow and thrive in her new enviroment.
